Service Availability

31 March 2020

As an organisation, our priority has to be keeping our service users, volunteers and staff safe. Sadly, as with many local organisations, we will now have to suspend our one to one support visits and our groups/workshops indefinitely in line with national guidance. We will aim to start again as soon as we are advised it is safe to do so. We understand that many people are losing much needed support so anyone currently supported by us will now receive regular phone calls from their support worker and anyone on the waiting list will receive calls from various members of our team. Our telephone support line will continue to be manned remotely and will remain open 9-4 until further notice.

Our team of staff and volunteers will be joining up with the other voluntary sector organisations in the area to pool our resources and share any support we are able to provide to the wider community through telephone support, delivery of provisions etc. Age UK Scarborough & District are co-ordinating all our efforts and we will make sure to let everyone know how to access extra help or to offer to help over the coming days. Please do call us if you have any worries or simply want to have a chat on 01723 356562. We will make sure to share further information on a range of support available by phone, apps or online and do please share information with neighbours and friends who may not have internet access or use social media.
