Caring with Confidence
Are you a carer for someone with a mental or physical health problem, or both? Our partner organisation, Scarborough and Ryedale Carers' Resource, will be holding a session entitled 'Caring and Communicating' at the Alexandra Bowls Centre, Scarborough, on 12 January 2012 from 1-3pm. This session uses real-life caring situations to help you get the best from communicating with professionals and service providers.
Three further sessions will be held at Whitby Library, as follows:
16 February 2012 1.00 - 3.00 pm - Caring Day to Day
Looks at the essentials of caring for someone day-to-day, from medication to emergencies at home.
8 March 2012 1.00 - 3.00 pm - Caring and Coping
Gives you time and space to look at the emtions involved in looking after someone. What strategies you use and what you could do to cope with stress more effectively.
29 March 2012 1.00 - 3.00 pm - Caring and Life
Invites you to take time out and think about how you juggle competing demands and how your caring role fits with other aspects of your life.
