All charities have trustees and they are all volunteers whose role is to govern their organisations.

This means that our trustees have to make sure that Scarborough Whitby and Ryedale Mind (SWR Mind) is properly run and managed and that it has enough money to do so.

SWR Mind trustees meet once each month to discuss matters of importance to their role and to ask receive reports from and ask questions of the Senior Management Team (SMT).

The SMT are the paid staff that are responsible for the day to day work of SWR Mind. The majority of SWR Mind trustees have had close experience of mental ill health.
