Mind Quality Mark

Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind applies quality standards to the management and delivery of its services. We are guided by National Mind who provides best practice standards for the different services that can be provided by Local Mind Associations such as Scarborough, Whitby & Ryedale Mind. Vision and Mission Statements

Our vision is a community where everyone with mental ill health experiences compassion, opportunities, support and respect.

Our Mission is to work in partnership to ensure that people with mental ill health in Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale have access to personalized support that empowers and enriches their lives. We work to raise awareness and educate our community about mental health.

Our Values

Our Values underpin all that we do and govern our external and internal behavior. Our six values have the following meaning:

Autonomy              We are committed to helping people make their own decisions

Participation           We ensure that every person involved with us is supported and able to                                                                take part in our opportunities, services and activities

Our service is available to people anywhere in the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale area with experience of mental health problems.

We aim to improve the lives of people living with mental health problems regardless of their cultural, religious and lifestyle needs.

Confidentiality All our staff and volunteers sign up to our confidentiality policy which clearly lays out our commitment to confidentiality.

Occasionally there may be times when we need to speak to another organisation without your consent. This will happen only in situations where someone appears to be at risk of harm and we would always try to discuss this with you.
