FFA Level 1 – Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health

This ½-Day course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help.

You must pass the written assessment to achieve the qualification. You must be over the age of 16 and will need to register below to secure a place. Spaces are limited to 16.

Course content:

What is First Aid for Mental Health

Identifying mental health conditions

Providing advice and starting a conversation

Stress

Overview of mental health conditions including:

Depression

Anxiety

Psychosis

Eating Disorders

Suicide

Self-harm
