MindSide

1-2-1 support to improve mental health with a lived experience peer worker Support groups, workshops and wellbeing activities.

MindSide is a new 3-year project in Scarborough and Filey, funded by the National Lottery that provides 1-2-1 support (up to 16 sessions) with a lived experience support worker for anyone aged 16 and over experiencing mild to moderate (e.g. anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress) mental health issues. We build a trusting partnership between you and a support worker, enabling you to open up about your mental health and find solutions together.

MindSide will also deliver a programme of support groups, workshops or learning sessions relating to some of the most prevalent mental health issues such as coping with bereavement, managing anger alongside effective coping strategies such as creative writing.

To be part of the project, you need to be aged 16+ live in Scarborough, Filey or surrounding villages and experiencing mild to moderate mental ill health.
