Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind exist to support the mental health and wellbeing of local communities in Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale, and with 16% of adults in Scarborough experiencing depression or anxiety, the highest self-harm and suicide rates in North Yorkshire, and thousands of children and adults across the region stuck on growing mental health waiting lists, this has never been more important. We focus on empowering individuals aged 11 and over to achieve their personal goals, tackle underlying causes of their mental ill health and reach their full potential. We are part of the federated Mind network which means we work in partnership with the national charity and other local Mind’s, but we are independent and responsible for raising our own funds to deliver the services that meet the needs of our community.
